I think today is the last day of the big rains in Southern California.... at least until next week.. I am thankful that we will have a weekend of clear blue skies.... I am looking forward to going outside tomorrow and smelling fresh clean air - air that only comes after a really good rainstorm.
But I do have to say - the rain has been fun... seriously.... Rain this intense is so very rare that I just had to enjoy it.... As I was driving home from dropping my kids off at school today - I was going over the freeway and to my left was the most incredibly huge rainbow... Every color - and it looked to be ending where I live... Of course, by the time I made it home - the rainbow was covered by clouds.... but just for the small moment in time - I was in awe... I saw God's promise to me....

I have once seen the end of a rainbow. But there was no pot of gold there. Maybe it was the start of the rainbow, and that's why there was no gold.
Rain is cool though. I'm looking forward to winter. Summer is getting old.
