If I Were A Rich Man - Rich Girl

Come Join us For Musical Monday - What moves you - hosted by Diane at Good Mourning, Glory!

What truly cracks me up is when my kids believe a song of theirs is an original.... Songs I listened to while I was growing up are now being remade...by various artists..

I was introducing my kids to The Fiddler on The Roof - one of my all time favorite movies... and when Tevye starts singing about being a "Rich man" my kids thought he copied the song from Gwen Stefani..... If I was a Rich Girl... funny..

Now Gwen

I think I first knew of Rich Man from Frasier. I knew it was from some play thing, but didn't know what one.

It's one of those songs.. it's got a different origin for every generation.

How funny! At least least you exposed your children to some culture by introducing them to Fiddler on the Roof.

BTW...I love Gwen! :-) Happy MM!

I embarrass my girls when we hear this in public, gotta sing it! I was a bit younger when the original Fiddler came out I remember seeing it with my parents, this was a great contrast of the two Happy MM!
